Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph before the relaying of brick at the upper east wall of the Workman House after the collapse of the original adobe wall, 24 May 1977. At the two levels of scaffolding are piles of brick before the laying of them was to begin. At the top, just above the top of the scaffold is the hole to be filled and temporary wood supports are visible both horizontally and vertically placed. Also there are thin pieces of rebar vertically placed for support of the brick wall. The cornice, most of the original wood brackets are in place, though a section at right of perhaps six to eight brackets is missing. Below and behind the scaffold is the outer section of the first floor wall with cement block replacing the original adobe, some of which was used on the inside. An inscription in pencil at the bottom of the artifact reads "Workman East Wall Ready / For Grout Pour 5/24/77." With little indication of wear or damage, the object is in good condition.
