Description

WORKMAN HOUSE FROM THE NORTH AND WORKMAN HOUSE SOUTHWEST WING Color: Black; White A black and white negative of the Workman House from the north and the Workman House southwest wing, ca. 1920s. The strip has six frames with the ones marked 31-33 being of the home from the north. The structure is at the center of the background and has a pitched roof at the center flanked by two gables. The north porch is at the bottom of the middle and has a low wall and arches across the front. The wings that flank the building have an arched window at the center of the second floor. Many trees are across the front of the home. Frames 34-35 are of the home's southwest wing. The roof is gabled and lined at the bottom by brackets. At the center of the second floor is an arched window and below this is a triptych window. Columns topped by capitals flank the center panel. At the center of the bottom of the wing is a basement vent. A palm tree is at the left of the back. Prints for the negatives are items .1-.34 with the contact sheets being items .35-.37. The artifact has no visible signs of wear or damage and is therefore in good condition. Number-Units: 1
