Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the east side restoration of the Workman House north porch, April 1978. The wall of the east wing is in the center with a broken plaster facade. Along the top of the image, the plaster is flat with light grids seen running horizontally, while below it is painted in brick form. Small holes have been punctured along the wall in preparation for a new layer of plaster. A sign posted in the center of the wall reads, "NORTH PORCH/ EAST SIDE." An opened doorway with a wood frame is on the far left where, above and to the right, the plaster is broken revealing the adobe wall. Through the door is a wood floor and boards. On the far right is part of the north wall of the home as well as a portion of a window frame. Below is the wood floor of the north porch with dirt and some contruction debris. The back top left corner has written in black ink: "PRINT #111 AT SCALE 3/4"= 1'-0"/ BY JEFF TYLER/ NORTH PORCH, WORKMAN RESIDENCE/ AT S.E. CORNER/ BEFORE PLASTER RESTORATION/ CA. 4/78." A stamp on the far right provides the name and business information of Raymond Girvigian, the restoration architect. With no signs of wear, the image is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
