Description
WORKMAN HOUSE NORTH SIDE PREPARING FOR NEW DOOR LINTEL
Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph of the preparation for a new lintel over the door and window in the west-center room of the Workman House, 6 February 1979. The old lintel was removed before the photo was taken, leaving the space in the adobe wall behind. Both above and to the lower left of the lintel space is the wall, while the top of the window frame and, behind that, the door frame, are at the bottom center and right. The window, converted at some unknown date, to a niche, has a can of some kind sitting on a shelf. At far right is a portion of the dividing wall between the room and the center room. At the top right is a small portion of the ceiling. An inscription in green ink at the bottom of the object reads "Preparing For New 8" x 8" Header / Over North Door & Window / Opening - Workman House 2/6/79." In good condition, the artifact has little or no indication of wear or damage.
