WORKMAN HOUSE NORTHWEST CORNER RESTORATION, 1978
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of the Workman House southwest corner before restoration, June/ July 1978. Only a portion of the brick southwest room is in the center with the top of the triptych window on the first floor across the bottom. The window's three glass panels are separated by two capitals and two brackets are at the extreme upper ends. A small scale is on the left, between the farthest arch, against the wall which has grids to form a brick design. The plaster on the wall is in disrepair with scrapes, stains, and cracks are throughout. In the top center is the bottom portion of the second floor window with only the sill pictured. Written in black on the back top left is: "WORKMAN RESIDENCE/ -N. W. CORNER- NORTH ELEV./ (BEFORE RESTORATION)/ -JEFF TYLER, ALHAMBRA, CA./ -PHOTO NEG. #63/ -SCALE: 1"/ taken ca. Jun/ July 1978." To the right is a stamp with the name and business information of Raymond Girvigian, the restoration architect; below is another stamp with the date, "NOV 14 1981." With no signs of wear, the image is in good condition.
