WORKMAN HOUSE SOUTHEAST WING EXTERIOR DETAIL BEFORE RESTORATION, 1978
Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of a detail of the Workman House southeast wing exterior before restoration, ca. June-July 1978. The exterior wall of the room is in disrepair with the stucco cracked, stained, and broken. Some of the red brick under the stucco is exposed due to losses in the stucco. On the top left is the bottom portion of a window on the second floor which is covered by black paper. A sign appears on the bottom, above the brick window sill, and reads, "SE CORNER/ WEST SIDE." Placed on the far right of the sill is a scale. Stuccoed quoins line the right side of the wall with a tree in the background. Written on the back top left in black is: "WORKMAN RESIDENCE/ -S. E. CORNER - WEST SIDE/ -JEFF TYLER, ALHAMBRA, CA./ -PHOTO NEG. #12/ -1" SCALE -TAKEN ca. Jun/ July 1978/ Before restoration." To the right is a stamp with the name and business information of Raymond Girvigian, the restoration architect. Another stamp, located below, has the date "NOV 14 1981." With no signs of wear, the image is in good condition.
