The Three Wise Men on camel-back are visible through the doorway and look up at a star which shines in the dark sky. Across the top of the cover is the title in red and black. Below this in blue are the words, "Containing the best and / the most popular / SONGS OF THE NATIVITY." At the left of the bottom is a brief description of the music arrangement, while at the far right is the name of the compiler and editor, the Reverend George Rittenhouse. The name of the music company is at the center of the bottom as well as at the center of the back. At the beginning are a foreword, title page, and an index. The musical selections are seperated into eight different categories, such as traditional and shepherd songs. Titles include "Silent Night," "We Three Kings of the Orient Are," "Joy to the World," and many more. There are also some line-drawings. With brittlenes; creases and dents on the cover; folds; losses; soiling; stains; and tears along the spine, cover detached from book, the object is in fair condition.
