"Yacht Club Anchorage," Los Angeles Harbor by A. C. Gates, 17 February 1930. The aerial photograph shows the portion of the harbor which included the headquarters of the California Yacht Club, which started in this area in 1922 before moving to Marina del Rey in 1967. It appears the club was at the lower left of the image and there are other anchorage facilities in the same area, presumably for commercial purposes. At the top of the photo is a portion of the community of Wilmington and at the upper right empty space. Many boats of varying sizes are shown in the water at the lower right. On the reverse is the photographer's stamp with a negative number and date, as well as his address, ink inscriptions including the title, and other information. With some browning on the reverse and light soiling, the condition is good.
