Description
YARD IN FRONT OF THE NORTH SIDE OF LA CASA NUEVA FROM THE WEST
Color: Black; White
A black and white negative of the area in front of La Casa Nueva from the west, ca. 1925. The view shows the enclosure wall and wooden entrance gates at the front of the house, a palm tree planted between the gate and the house, weeds, dirt, and construction debris, including stacks of adobe bricks. In the background, the enclosure wall continues on the east and some of the Mission Walkway wall and trellis is at the right. In the distance is some of the west elevation and roof of the Workman House, as well as some trees planted along the center driveway. With a loss of about three-quarters by one-quarter inch on the left edge and some discoloration at the right edge, the overall condition of the object is still good.
