A cabinet card photograph, "Yorgason Pigeon Farm in Los Angeles, 1908." The view shows the farm with thousands of pigeons and a variety of structures perched along the bank of the Los Angeles River which winds toward some hills in the background. The area appears to be rural with trees in abundance, but little sign of other buildings. The farm, operated by James Yorgason, was in the vicinity of Elysian Park. The title comes from a pencil inscription on the reverse. With some edge rubbing, especially at corners, and some soiling and stains, the condition is good overall.
