Description

A photograph of a young woman climbing over a fence at the Workman Homestead, California in 1912. An inscription on the back of the photo describes the scene "Daisy took my photo when I was climbing over the fence - and I didn't know she snapped it - so here I am." The north side of the Workman home can be seen on the right as well as the Lady Banks rose bush said to have been planted by William and Nicolasa Workman to honor the birth of their first granddaughter, Lucinda Temple, in 1860. There is a wooden and wire (or rope) fence surrounding the home, a dirty path that winds up to another structure at the far left of the image as well as other trees and grass overgrowth. With minor warping, begining signs of foxing, and stains the obejct is in good condition overall.
