A stereoscopic photograph, "Zanja—6th St. Park, Los Angeles," ca. 1880s. The unattributed images shows the water ditch wending through the park and lines by some trees and bushes, with other plants in view. This was Zanja #8, sometimes called Zanja #6, and was created about 1866 to supply water for farmers and residents in the area around the park, now Pershing Square. With some small stains, soiling and bumping to the matte, the condition is fair.
