This collection contains principally copies of newspaper articles related to the case that the Horace Mann League brought against Hood College and three other private Maryland schools. The Horace Mann League sought to keep state grant funds (public money) from the college on the basis that they were religious-based. The Maryland Court of Appeals eventually ruled in Hood's favor (1966) as Hood is not sectarian "in a legal sense".
