Decorative Lintel from the Old Bank BuildingDescription
Triangular metal design (lintel) which was above the main entrance to the Old Bank Building. The bank building was built in 1901 as a private bank owned by Asa Skinner. Mr. Skinner sold the bank in 1907--it became the Hudson State Bank with J.W. Shepherd as president. An addition to the building was added in 1913. The bank closed during the depression in 1937. Dr. George McGeen moved his medical practice to the building; he retired in the mid 1960s. The building was a residence for a short time. In 1979 the Hudson Jr. Woman's Club leased the building from Alexander Lumber for the Hudson Volunteer Library.
