Photographic Prints of the Civil WarDescription
A collection of 15 unbound photographic prints depicting various scenes of the Civil War from the Photographic History of the Civil War, Copyrighted by Patriot Publishing Co. and published by Review of Reviews Co.
The photographs were taken by Matthew Brady (1823-1896), one of the most prolific photographers of the Civil War. He and his associates created visual documentation (1860-1865) of the War's effect traveling though the eastern part of the country. Brady noted that some of the photographs almost cost him his life.
