Black and white photo of Roland Cox (student) and his class at Union School in 1936. The teacher was Miss Mildred Whitwood. Roland Cox attended Union School from third grade through eighth grade. He remembers when the school burned and they had school at the Guthoff home. He had 3/4 mile to walk to school. Miss Mildred Whitwood was the teacher. There were usually no more than 10 to 12 students at school. They usually played ball at recess.
