‘Can anyone hear me?’ is multi-media artwork that vividly captures the devastating aftermath of an earthquake. This piece is a tribute to the earthquake that struck Turkey on February 6, 2023 resulting in a staggering loss of life, rendering millions of people homeless across ten cities, and causing colossal mental and economic damage. The artist, deeply connected to Turkey both as a native and through her architectural background, channels her emotions into this powerful creation. "Can you hear me?" is a slogan in known to all in the area; in moments of silence, the call "can you hear me?" beckons bystanders to search for those missing in the rubble. The artwork showcases a hauntingly actual photograph from the earthquake-stricken region. The image is etched with a sense of sorrow, representing the pain and tragedy witnessed by the artist.
