L’arrivee is a photomontage of images of one boy on a beach, duplicated and rearranged to create a work that looks natural yet unnatural, heightening the unreality of the piece and placing its subject in an environment removed from outside points of reference. Like Baillargeon’s other work, she takes a commonplace set of images and manipulates it into something surreal through the use of digital media and reduplication.Artwork Details
