During the 1940’s, Register’s Bakery opened next to the High School (where Brookshire Brother’s is now located). Some students ate their lunch there, and were even allowed to scrape leftover cake batter from the bowls. Eventually Register’s moved next to the Pine’s Theater where it made delicious baked goods for years. The owners lived above the bakery.Cataloged By
