The original maker of Lucky Lager, General Brewing Company, started in San Francisco, California, in 1934 by Eugene Selvage. Later due to it's popularity, the name was changed to Lucky Lager Brewing Company in 1949. It did once again become General Brewing Company in 1971, up until it's demise in 1985 when it's parent corporation S&P Company, purchased the Pabst Brewing Company and closed or integrated the remaining General Brewing Company facilities.General Location
