Cylinder, Phonograph

Description

Green and beige Edison Amberol Record wax cylinder phonograph case and lid. Inside, there is a wax cylinder with the inscription "Vocal Violin Imitation Intermezzo Cavalleria Rusticana 9556" and is Thomas A Edison brand. As with the other cylinders and cases in this accession, the cylinder is probably not housed in its original case. The wax cylinder was released by Edison Records in 1907, and the audio is a woman named Edith Helena imitating the sound of a violin.
