Small, round-bodied ceramic vessel with a short, narrow neck and slightly everted rim. Made of reddish-brown earthenware and coated on the upper half with a white paint, the vessel is decorated with hand-painted motifs in negative resist, revealing the natural clay color beneath. The design consists of repeating leaf-like patterns and scalloped borders encircling the vessel’s shoulder and base of the neck. The rim shows several chips, revealing the natural clay body. The underside is unglazed and undecorated, with visible shaping marks.Made/Created
