This is a single-handheld fiber carding tool made from a dried teasel (thistle) seed head with stem. The thistle head is ovular and spiked with curved, hook-like projections used to tease and separate fibers. The surface shows signs of wear and age, with some darkening and evidence of past use. Remnants of fiber or dust are still visible among the bristles, and the stem appears slightly split from age or handling.Made/Created
