This long-sleeved woman’s blouse is constructed from a commercial cotton textile featuring a vertical blue-and-white stripe pattern. The blouse is tailored with a fitted upper body and gathered lower section, resulting in a flared silhouette below the bust. Both sleeves are long and finished with wide embroidered cuffs in red and blue curvilinear motifs over a white ground. The front placket is the focal point, framed with vivid pink vertical borders and densely filled with colorful floral and bird motifs rendered in bright machine embroidery, using red, purple, green, orange, and blue threads. The neckline is finished with additional embroidery and opens slightly at the side with a small slit.Ethnography
