Description

This women’s enagua is made from unbleached cotton muslin (manta) and is designed to be worn as an underskirt. It features a softly gathered waist with a simple tie closure and a flared, tiered body that creates volume beneath a traditional outer skirt. The lower hem is adorned with a strip of machine-made cotton lace, creating a decorative edge that is meant to be visible below the hemline of the outer garment. The piece is machine-sewn with evenly spaced seams, likely stitched with commercial thread. The lace trim at the bottom showcases floral and geometric openwork patterns typical of mid- to late-20th-century mass-produced lace, offering a modest yet intentional decorative element. The enagua’s lightweight, breathable construction provides both modesty and comfort, especially in warm climates.
