Description

A woven straw religious figurine. The figure is the Virgin of Guadalupe. She has a flattened triangular shape. The robe is woven with patterns. It is the widest at base. The arms of twisted straw are in a prayer position. There are applied straw flowers in a crescent moon on the lower mid-section of the robe. There is a thin woven base that protrudes from the bottom of the zig-zag edged robe. The head holds a crown of three parts with a cross in the middle and behind the head there is a large flat star "halo".
