Titled, "Le Grand Sacrifice des Canadiens a Quitchi-Manitou ou le Grand Espirit". (Translation,"The Great Sacrifice of the Canadians Quitchi- Manitou or the Great Spirit".) Depicts villagers in a sacrifice or spirit ceremony; large group dancing around a high platform being burned; a small groups of villagers lay on the ground watching; clouds of smoke; palm trees and barracks in the background; smoke pipes, arrows and spears also on the ground.
