Description

Sash (man's). Mexico, Pantelho, Chiapas. Tzotzil. Cotton, acrylic yarn. c. 1987. Wide white & red horizontal stripes, narrow multi-colored stripes. Vertical--red stripes, narrow multi-colored stripes near ends resemble plaid; ends--finished with rough weave and multi-colored bobbles; cloth bows at end where eaving is heavier.
