Description

A large wooden mask. The mask is a "Tigre mask". The mask is painted yellow orange, black, and red. There are black lacquered figures all over in form of 4-legged animals with long tails and tall ears, that make up the spots of the cat. It has concave eyes, nose, and chin area, and oval carved slits above eyes. The eyes are round painted black and white, outlined in red with black and covered with glass. The eyebrows are thickly painted black and whiskers attached on lower corners. The nose is painted black with red nostrils. The mouth of tigre is open, painted red, exposing ivory teeth. There is a round carved hole inside center of mouth.
