Description

Napkin. Part of a set of 23 napkins with a matching tablecloth. It is a square, white linen napkin with an embroidery design on one corner, and a handmade lace tape edging all around. The most decorated corner has a lace insertion design that cuts into the white linen corner, and a cutwork embroidery done in a faint light blue thread. This cutwork design has scrolling and 2 flowers. The hand-made edging has buttonhole stitching, and is floral & scalloped to match tablecloth. All 23 napkins are similar in their design style and overall look, but can be separated into two groups based on their corner designs. One corner embroidery has 7 flowers total, with one placed at the very top. The second embroidery design has only 2 flowers total, both near the top and always done in cutwork. There are 12 napkins with 7 flowers and 11 with 2 flowers.
