Description

Molded and stitched tanned leather helmet formed into a cylindrical headpiece with a slightly flared lower edge. The surface is painted green with varying shapes and sizes of black spots to evoke a jaguar’s pelt, with visible wear and abrasions throughout. The front side features a face with a wide, open mouth outlined in red, exposing two rows of pointed triangular teeth and a projecting red tongue. Almond-shaped eyes with mirrored inserts are framed by raised red rims such as the mouth. A rolled leather component rises at the center of the forehead, with two angular, upright ears extend from the crown. Clusters of natural animal hair is inserted along the cheeks to simulate whiskers. The lower edge is reinforced with a stitched leather band.
