The shirt is made from two woven cotton panels: one red and one off-white. Each panel has three selvage edges and was cut and tailored to assemble the shirt. The red panel is divided and stitched to form the sleeves, and the white panel makes up the main body. A vertical slit at the neckline is reinforced with bright red thread in a decorative hand-stitched border. The lower hem is also hand-finished. The garment is unembellished except for its color-blocked construction and red embroidery, with a straight, boxy cut typical of traditional men’s shirts in the region.Made/Created
