Island County Historical Society

Island County Historical Society's Museum and Archive. The Island County Historical Society was organized in 1949. In 1963 the Historical Society opened its first museum in a small building donated by General Telephone Company, but quickly outgrew it and moved several times before the community built the building that currently houses our exhibits in 1991. Our Mission is to Collect, Preserve and Interpret Island County's rich and unique cultural heritage and history.
