Description

17 1/2 inches x 8 1/8 inches x 5 7/8 inches. Ash tree fragment of irregular features. One side, sawn smooth, reads OLD ASH TREE 1936. Special Significance: Large tree destroyed by lightening was an Island landmark and sailor's guide. In the field across from "Big Tree" bathing beach.
