Description

This a large reproduction of an oil painting featuring a three masted schooner, rough seas, and a distant lighthouse.The schooner has been identified as Abbie C. Stubbs and Captain Charles Augustus Pendleton of Islesboro. All of the ships sails are set, and are waving four flags, one of which reads "Jacob Reed." The ship has a black haul and yellow detail. It is framed in a wooden frame, painted gold and containing leaf like carvings. The back is wood and reveals the pinched canvas. The sticker on the back tracks this reproduction back to The Penobscot House in Lincolnville.
