2 1/4 inches) has notch (4 1/2 inches long) cut into one end. At other end a rod (18 inches long) has been inserted through the main piece.
Special Significance: Used to tighten ropes on a bed.
Original Inscription: Carved on one side in 1 1/4 inch high letters A X D
