It is an account book apparently keeping the financial records of a shipmaster. It records when men came on board, money advanced to them, what they owed for tobacco, etc. There are also records of expenses of the vessel.
Dates from 1880 to 1883
The donor identifies this as the account book of Capt. Charles F. Dodge, Captain of the schooner Gen. Adelbert Ames
