Scope and Content

Well-organized and carefully researched collection of 176 calling cards, some with duplicates, received by Susan Tiffany Player (Mrs. Preston Player) of Boston and Islesboro (b.1856, d. 1910). Cards are arranged alphabetically in a three-ring binder. Assemblage includes a brief biography of Susan, and biographies as well of more than a hundred of her connections.The Players owned one of the Dark Harbor cottages, built for them by Loranus F. Pendleton circa 1900.
