EDISON STANDARD PHONOGRAPH: Set in wooden carrying case, measures overall 13 1/2 inches long x 11 3/8 inches high x 9 3/4 inches deep at largest dimensions. The removable cover is affixed to the base by means of metal locking devices on either side so the machine is portable. A handle for winding the mechanism is attached to right side of machine. A metal cylinder 4 3/4 inches long x 1 3/4 inches in diameter attached to a drive wheel extends from the left side of machine. From the center of the right-hand end of the cylinder is a pointed end which fits into metal arm measuring 4 1/4 inches long. A knob on front of arm allows it to swing to the right so record cylinders may be changed. A needle holder is mounted on a rod in back of the cylinder and can be raised and lowered. A gear housing is attached on left side.

This machine is sold upon the condition that it is licensed to be used or vended only so long as this Serial Number 396048 is not removed or changed in whole or in part and that every possessor of this machine admits the validity of the above enumerated patents
