Description

9 pictures and snapshots. Four pictures of a gambrel-roofed house, siding on first floor, shingles above, with a half tower w/ conical roof, One is marked "The old homestead," two have messages on the back to Alice from Aunt (Cora?) , one is the house with a double-seated buckboard, a horse, 3 passengers. These are a-b-c-d. This house appears to be #386 Pendleton Point Rd which belonged to Loranus Pendleton, then to Harry & Jessie Babbidge (brother to Capt Eben Babbidge), then to Lyman Wardwell. Two pictures are of the Library , one with a freshly-dug grave ("Malcolm's grave") in front, the second shows the monument and shrubs several years old, and on back addressed to "Alice from Aunt Cora and uncle John". (f & g) Two snapshots show a house with front porch, 'carpenter gothic trim' , one has two adults standing in front yard. The 9th picture is a gable-roof house, front porch, barn adjoined with an ell. ID'd as "Islesboro" but no other ID. Extrapolating from the genealogical chart accompanying this collection, these would have been from Cora Parker Yeaton and John Yeaton to their niece Alice Yeaton Dodge, stepmother of Barbara Dodge.
