The Bible measures 11 11/16 inches x
9 1/2 inches x 3 5/8 inches. The cover is brown leather. The bibliographic information is: The Holy Bible Containing the Old & New Testaments. Brttleborough, VT: Holbrook & Fessenden, 1823. The Bible contains some diagrams and illustrations. It also holds family records. The text is divided throughout into two columns. The Apocrypha, a list of names in the Old and New Testaments, an account of the lives and martydom of the apostles and evangelists and Brown's Concordance are also included.
ORIGINAL INSCRIPTION: On the spine are the words: Holy Bible James & Hannah Dodge.
