Scope and Content

A letter penned by Mrs. Joseph A. Pendleton in Dark Harbor, Maine. The letter is presumably written to her daughter. It discusses Mr. Joseph Pendleton's recent trip to Camden for a "Masonic Installation," a visiting minister candidate (Mr. Lewallen) from Paris or South Paris, Maine, a friend's chance encounter with Madeline Durgin in a restaurant in Bath, and "Grammie's" reluctance to "go up in a flying machine." The letter also references an enclosed photograph of the interior of the "Islesboro Town Library," photographed by Guy (Pendleton?). The presumed photograph has the object ID of 2007.020.004 .
