Green scrapbook with peasant picture measuring 14 3/4 inches x 10 3/4 inches.
1936 newspaper and magazine clippings of famous people and events. Also, Maine and Islesboro items.

Church: Mrs. Ambrose Hatch resigns as organist from 2nd Baptist
Rev. and Mrs. Wm C. Osgood hunt game in Maine North
woods. Each kills a deer.
Ferry: New ferry terminal to be built at Grindle Point over the
objection of Mrs. Arthur Anderson who felt it would ruin the
area. The other option was Smith's Landing at Dark Harbor.
$1200 was raised to buy the property for the town.
Ferry to be completed by May 1 for 8 cars and 50 people
Houses: Mrs. George Clements buys home of Edwin A. Eames
Mrs. Ronald T. Lyman buys house of Mrs. John Pepper
Mrs. Arthur Anderson who owns a large parcel at Grindle
Point says she will leave Islesboro if new ferry built there.
The first house on Grindle Point built in 1787.
Island Life: Huge bull moose seen browzing at L.E. Grace's estate
Stone date 1774 believed to have been from the perimeter
wall of Ellison Laselle, an ancestor of the founder of Lasalle
Female Seminary. His claim was dated Oct. 12, 1786.
