Leather bound photo album 9" x 11" x 3" with ornate gilded clasp. 15 heavy cardboard pages with arched windows each side for insertion of pictures, gilding around edges and floral decoration around the windows. 12 pages are for 4x6 photos, the back 3pp for four 2.5" x 3.5" pictures. Almost all pictures are studio portrait prints. The album was found in the former home if Ed and Amy Pendleton, 979 Meadow Pond Road, Islesboro.
The donor states that Ed and Amy Pendleton raised her grandfather Burt Thomas when his father was lost at sea and his mother died when Burt was four. Ed P. was Burt Thomas' uncle on Burt's mother's side.
