Unframed, matted, head & shoulders picture of a young man wearing a cap ( Capt?) identifried in pencil on back as Joseph Collins, Castine, ME. There was a Joseph W. Collins of Islesboro, born 1839, son of David Collins, married to Paulina Coombs, a fisherman in early life and Captain of many great vessels. See Mitchell Study of Capt. Joseph W. Collins.
