Portrait of Mary Townsend Hatch (Mrs Deacon James Hatch) b. 6/9/1801, d 8/1/1876, great great grandmother of the donor. Family lore is that she was part indian. Technique is "Photographic Crayon", a photo enlarged and enhanced with the application of special artists' crayons. See 2015.008.001 for further description.
