2 photocopies of the front of an envelope mailed in North Islesboro Maine in 1873 to Puerto Rico.. One photocopy of postmarks on back of envelope. They are accompanied by notes from the owner, explaining about the stamps and also deciphering the address as far as he could. Capt. Otis C. Vea[zie] Brig Opero Sla?? Messrs Wich?? Ponce , Puerto Rico The cover was shown at a meeting of a philatelic group. II is "Only recorded cover Carried on the Red Ball Line (Oct. 1872-May 1873). Only DWI cover recorded with U.S. and Spanish Colonial Stamps" Roger, Marny Heinen's father-in-law was a stamp collector.
