A framed certificate for Edwin Coombs as ship master from The American Ship Masters Association. Signed by the commissioner in nautical science and the examiner in seaman ship. Dated January 3rd, 1867. He would have been thirty years old when he received this certificate. The back reads: Loaned by Alice L. Pendleton in 1931.
