Scope and Content

Benjamin Grover's records of service on several schooners. 8 1/4" x 13 1/2" cardboard cover, heavy light blue paper. Original entries in ink, some later pencil scribbling. Pages missing at front. Practice writing apparently by Grover. On first page: "Property of Benjamin Grover" The first record page is headed "The year 1852 Sch Erie & owners Dr to Benjamin Grover" The first entry is Ap. 6 for pilotage to Machiasport. Later pages contain records on the schooners Wakullah (?) Newengland, Pavilion, Raven, Eclipse and Havenger (?) The latest date is in 1859.
