Burnside's victory, taking of Fort Henry, destruction of "their Fleet" ... "this Army will soon grow envious if we are not participants in the struggle"

Marched to Alexandria, embarked on Steamship Ariel and steamed down river with 100 steamers, saw Mt Vernon, anchored at the mouth of the Potomac, next day down the Chesapeake Bay to Fort Monroe, sailed around the Monitor "a perfect model of Genius." Gives Brina a list of his debts, and moneys owed to him "in case"
